Pogo 2 in the USA
Winning most races in Europe, the Pogo 2 has been since its first Mini Transat in 2003 the benchmark in the Production Mini world. With hundreds of Pogo 2 in Europe, Pogo Structures, the French builder, and Open Sailing (U.S. builder of the Open 5.70 and importer of other Finot/Conq sportboats) decided to join their skills, expertise and experience to launch the production of the Pogo 2 in North America. The objective is to grow the Pogo 2 fleet in the USA but also to provide a great little production mini available for U.S. sailors and beyond.
Since January 2010, Pogo Structures and Open Sailing have been working on the production details of the Pogo 2. Open Sailing shipped the original molds to sunny Southern California with one unique goal: build an exact copy of the French built Pogo 2 with the same quality and performance as the one made in France.
