The Development of the V2 of the Pogo 40S4
23 September 2025On February 7th, the Pogo Structures shipyard launched the very first RC, a pure IRC racing yacht. Four days later, the boat had its maiden sail in Sainte-Marine with skipper Tanguy Bouroullec and Sam Manuard, one of the two naval architects (along with Bernard Nivelt) who designed the boat.
In ideal conditions, this first outing already showcased the full potential of this boat, 100% dedicated to the IRC racing circuit. A first for the yard!
Designed to take on legendary offshore IRC races (Rolex Fastnet Race, Transquadra, Transat Cap-Martinique, Middle Sea Race, or Sydney-Hobart), the Pogo RC is purpose-built for long-distance solo or double-handed races, but also aims to provide a sporty platform for a four- to five-person crew on shorter regatta courses (Spi Ouest France, Armen Race, etc.).
Check out the first images of the boat now!
