Structures: 20 years of experience!

1987 - Structures was founded by Christian Bouroullec, to build and prepare race boats.

1995 - Structures, in collaboration with designer Pierre Rolland, conceived the Pogo6.50. This first Pogo proved itself as an offshore boat in the Mini-Transat. Seven years later, 140 boats have been built and are sailing all over the world.

1999 - Christian Bouroullec won the Mini-Transat (series division) at the helm of Pikes. That same year, Structures unveiled the Pogo8.50, a new Rolland design conceived for fast family cruising and transatlantic surfing. Shortly after its launch, the first Pogo 8.50 won the Transquadra solo 2000. It was voted "Sail Boat of the Year 2001". Christian Bouroullec himself came 5th in the Transquadra 2001 at the helm of a Pogo 8.50. (Currently 182 boats have been produced)

2003 - the Pogo2 succeeded the Pogo 6.50. Designed by Jean-Marie Finot and Pascal Conq, the Pogo 2 took the top three places in the Transat 6.50 (series division) a few months later. In keeping with in-house tradition, one of the employees, Erwan Tymen, won the event on the yard’s own boat, Casimir. Since 1997, all of the editions of the Transat 6.50 have had a Pogo as a winner. In 2011, production will be continued in the USA.

2005 - Structures launched the Finot-Conq designed Pogo 40'. Based on Structures’ experience in offshore racing, this boat was designed for long distances and high speeds, in line with the philosophy of the previous ten years. A number of Pogo40s were expected on the start line of the 2006 Route du Rhum.

20064 Pogo 40s in the top 5 at the finish of the Route du Rhum, and the 24 hour outright record in the Mini Class established by a Pogo 2.

2008Launch of the Pogo 10.50 – an innovative Finot-Conq designed boat combining power with variable draft (1.05 m to 2.80 m). Featuring a carbon mast and bowsprit, and light displacement (3600 kg), this boat gets you to your destination quickly. It also allows you to anchor right at the beach. The Pogo 10.50 was voted “2009 Sail Boat of the Year”.

For 2010, we are proud to announce the new Pogo12.50 and Pogo40S².

The Pogo12.50 is an extension of the original concept, begun 10 years ago with the Pogo8.50 and continued with the Pogo10.50, designed for safe, fast, easy, and comfortable cruising.

The Pogo40S² is the newest offering from Structures and Finot-Conq, a Class 40 inspired by the latest Open 60s. It is not an evolution but a totally new boat dedicated to offshore racing. The goal is to offer the fastest of Class40s, capable of racing around the world.
